Simple sound services in the Greater Victoria area.  Specializing in:

• Folk music dances (sound technician for Victoria Contra Dance for the last 10 years).
• Providing great quality, integrated sound for hybrid meetings* over Zoom, MS Teams, etc.

*:  some participants in a common room, with others coming in over the 'net.

I provide all the basic gear for a function (see Base Equipment List below).  Because size/type of functions and facilities can vary greatly, we may rent different/additional gear to ensure good quality sound as appropriate for the venue and function.

Price negotiable, depending the the complexity, amount of prep work, size of function/venue, gear required, etc.

Base Equipment List

I have the following for gear as part of my "base system".  Additional/different gear may be needed, depending on the type and size of the function/event.  My preferred rental provider is Long & McQuade.

• Speakers: two Podium Pro Audio (model PP1003A) powered PA speakers, rated at 250W (500W peak).
• Speakers: two 8’ Beringer Eurolive B208D powered PA/monitor speakers
• Speakers: one 10’ Beringer Eurolive B210D powered monitor speaker
• Speakers: two 8' speaker stands, one 6' speaker stand
• Mics: two Audio-Technica AT-2020, with shock absorbing mounts.
• Mics: one AudioTechnica AT2021
• Mics: Wireless handheld mic (FM band).
• Mics: three CAD D38 dynamic supercardioid mics (unswitched).
• Mics: Switched handheld mic
• Mics: 4 standard mic stands with extendable booms.
• Mics: 2' mic stand

• Cables & Misc: over a dozen XLR-M to XLR-F cables in varying lengths up to 50'.
